Dr. Jacqueline Olivo, M.D.

Dr. Jacqueline Olivo was born in Trujillo, Peru. She is the 5th of twelve children. From an early age she enjoyed science and helping people in need. That inspired her to become a doctor. At the age of 17, she enrolled at the University of San Luis Gonzaga, in the city of Ica, where she earned her medical degree with honors. Her first practice was at the Hospital Dos de Mayo in Lima, where she helped under-resourced Peruvians have access to health care services. She was later awarded a medical scholarship to continue her studies in Barcelona, Spain. 

She completed her residency in Neurosurgery at El Clínico de Barcelona Hospital in 1994.

She came to the United States to continue her residency at St. Francis Hospital in Chicago while providing medical assistance to under-resourced families in the community. A year later, she was transferred to the University of Illinois where she completed her residency in Family Medicine in 2005. She became an attending physician at Michael Reese Hospital practicing OB/GYN and family medicine in the South Side of Chicago. She moved to her new clinic to start her own practice at Fullerton & Western Clinic. Today she continues to serve her community by providing affordable health care. Her professional affiliations are the Illinois Masonic Hospital, and UIC.

 

 

Nicole Markovich, MSN, FNP-BC

Nicole Markovich, MSN, FNP-BC is a certified family nurse practitioner. Nicole received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from DePaul University, her Master’s Degree in Nursing from DePaul University, and her Family Nurse Practitioner certification from DePaul University. Nicole has been in the Nursing profession for more than 6 years, with experience in adult critical care and pediatrics. She has extensive experience working with diverse patient populations. She sees the full spectrum of patients ranging from birth on. Her special interests include patient education, infant care and overall health and wellness.

Dr. Jose Diaz, DN, Pain Management and Physical Rehabilitation

Dr. Jose Diaz, D.N. is a Doctor of Naprapathic Medicine licensed in the states of New Mexico and Illinois. He specializes in Naprapathic Manual Medicine, Kinesio Taping®, cold laser therapy, treatment for PTSD, female chronic pain, fibromyalgia and sports injuries. He received his Doctorate in Naprapathic Medicine from the National College of Naprapathic Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. After serving in the Army for 20 years, including development of laser systems, he served in Iraq as Resident Engineer Officer in the theater of operations for the multinational force.

Dr. Diaz received a commission as a 2nd Lieutenant from the United States Army Reserve Officer Training Corp. In 2001, Dr. Diaz was promoted to the rank of Captain. After his retirement in 2006, Dr. Diaz proceeded to begin studies in pre-med and enrolled in the Naprapathic Medicine Doctoral program. He received certification from the VA Learning University as a Cybersecurity Practitioner. He currently works for the VA as the Medical Compliance Officer for the Illinois area. At the present time, Dr. Diaz is chair of the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) research department at National College of Naprapathic Medicine. He also practices in the NCNM Clinic. Dr. Diaz enjoys working with patients and students. His combat experience brings to the profession a different perspective on how to apply the Naprapathic techniques in the treatment of PTSD, fibromyalgia, and sports injuries.

Monce Vargas, Medical Assistant

Monce earned her Medical Assistant Certification from Northwestern University in December, 2016. She has been working as a Medical Assistant at Olivo Medical and Wellness Centers for one year.  Monce is the oldest of five.  She is a natural caretaker and has a passion for helping others.  Monce treats her patients as if they are her family.  In her spare time, she's a homebody and enjoys watching Netflix and working out at the gym.  Monce's ultimate goal is to provide absolute exceptional care to her patients and ensure they always leave their office visits feeling positive, informed, and well taken care of.  

Stephanie Guaman, Medical Secretary

Stephanie Guaman is a major in English.  She is currently enrolled at Dominican University for her Bachelor's Degree in English and Education. She is passionate about education. She is interested in education because she wants to share her knowlege to the world and be a part of positive change.  Stephanie also enjoys reading and writing.  She is currently a Secretary at Olivo Medical and Wellness Centers where she is happy to share knowlege to our staff and patients. Stephanie wants to continue her education to educate herself and others.
